Enjoying Oscoda's natural splendor isn't all peaceful walks and quiet scenery! High adventure seekers fly through 91 miles of the Iosco County Snowmobile Trail system, and 25 miles of snowmobile trails located in Oscoda Township's National Forest Service land. One trail is located to the south of River Road, and another section begins at the Ken Ratliff Park traveling through the former WAFB north to the AuSable River and stretches through the central portion of the Township to M-65. These marked trails are groomed by the Michigan DNR Snowmobile Grant sponsors, including the current sponsor, the Iosco County Parks and Recreation Board.

There are two snowmobile trail-heads conveniently located in Downtown Oscoda. One begins in the McQuaig Park parking lot and the other launches from the Ken Ratliff Park parking lot.
