Summer Tax Deferment

The purpose of Summer Tax Deferment is to extend the summer tax due date to February 14 without accruing any interest until February 15.  

To qualify you must identify which of the two following conditions applies to you:

  1. Principal Residence, certify that the household gross income for the preceding year did not exceed $40,000, and that you qualify for one of the following classifications as provided in the General Property Tax Act:
    • 62 years of age or older
    • Paraplegic, Hemiplegic, or Quadriplegic
    • Blind person
    • Totally and permanently disabled

OR

  1. Agricultural Real Property classified as such and meeting requirements set forth on the application.
